Corian is the next economical with a smooth renewable finish. It does scratch a little easier, but can also be "sanded" down for a renewed surface. Ask for instructions!.
Granite offers timeless natural beauty of stone, and a hard surface that is the most heat resistant. It is a porous material that benefits from a sealer. Treating with granite cleaners help keep its optimal shine. Avoiding acid is beneficial so that the natural softer stones are not pitting the surface.
Quartz, tho often the most expensive option, has become a popular option for its durability, hygienic, non-porous, hard surface, and clean look, Because quartz is crushed quartz and composite materials, it offers repeatable and consistent patterns. Cambria is maintenance free and requires no sealing or polishing. Simply wipe the surface with a soft cloth and warm water, and mild soap if desired, to keep your Cambria spotless.
